Victory for Motorola In The German Patent Figh

Motorola achieved a legitimate victory against Inc. appealing that the technology behind some specific products was copied on the Motorola patents in its data packet transfer (GPRS).

A Manheim based court has granted Motorola’s right for enforcing the primary injunction against various gadgets like iPad & iPhone with a concealed meaning that these popular devices are conceivably capable of being pulled from the German shelves. For accomplishing that Motorola need to sign on a $134 million bond or any equivalent insurance policy. If the Apple Inc. wins the ruling, it will get $134 million due to the losses incurred during the preliminary injunction.

Consequently, Motorola need to take decision on taking risk of losing 134 million USD on this case. However, Apple said to Dow Jones that it is going to appeal against the court ruling, which is capable of any sort of product ban postpone.

“The current decision validates the efforts of Motorola Mobility to enforce its legal patents against infringement of Apple,” said Scott Offer, the senior vice president of Motorola Mobility.
