Install KDE 4.8 On Fedore 16

KDE 4.8, one of the best KDEs out there, was released yesterday. If you are a Fedora user you can easily install it on your system.  Rex DieteOne developer has uploaded a backport repo to enable Fedora 16 users to install KDE 4.8 on their machines.

Rex writes on the Fedora mailing list “It contains just the minimal builds needed to get up and running with kde-4.8.0 (as opposed to kde-unstable repo that has other stuff like calligra).”

He further adds, “Hopefully, this will lower the bar and make it easier to use, and get more folks using and testing it.  Oh, and to answer question 2 above, well just have to wait and see how testing goes.  Please do give feedback.”

You can add the repo from this link.
